Tasks:
- understand existing PCBs and schematics
- develop firmware for MCUs embedded on these PCBs
- update git-based infrastructure for written software
Profile:
- solid foundation in C/C++ programming
- solid foundation in clean code
- basic knowledge about embedded programming such as accessing MCU registers and peripherals
- basic knowledge about data buses such as I²C, SPI, UART, CAN
What awaits you:
In the PCB subteam of our electrical department, we focus on developing PCBs for various applications. A lot of PCBs embed STM32 MCUs which can be used for input/output handling and data processing. There are multiple projects available, e.g.:
- CAN-based bootloader
- data extraction from various sensors
- library for accessing data on different internal flash storages
- state machine and data processing for charge control
For getting in touch with concepts we use in our code, such as C++ features and RTOS, there are multiple existing projects available.
Time expenditure: At least 10 hours per Week
