Tasks:
- understand existing PCBs and schematics
- design new or update existing schematics
- transfer schematic onto PCB layout
- assemble and commission PCBs
Profile:
- basic knowledge about electronic concepts such as filtering and semiconductors
- basic knowledge about high voltage batteries and applications up to 600V
- motivation to get into working with new software tools such as Altium, LTspice
What awaits you:
In the PCB subteam of our electrical department, we focus on developing PCBs for various applications. Most of the PCBs, which are developed in the High Voltage Department, are necessary for safety reasons. There are multiple projects available, e.g.:
- charge control PCB
- design our new handcart electrically
For getting in touch with our PCB designer software — Altium — there is a tutorial available explaining its use and some basic schematics we use across most of our PCBs.
Time expenditure: At least 10 hours per Week
