Tasks:

  • Configure motor options and design custom components such as the motor housing and shaft to suit the race car architecture
  • Dimension and evaluate stator and rotor configurations in collaboration with the motor manufacturer
  • Develop CAD models and technical drawings for manufacturing and integration into the vehicle
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the manufacturing and assembly of motor-related components
  • Support integration, testing, and validation of the electric motor within the race car powertrain
  • Document design decisions, manufacturing steps, and test results for future development cycles

Profile:

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of electric motor principles and powertrain systems
  • Experience with CAD design and creating technical drawings for manufacturing
  • Interest in high-performance engineering and motorsport development
  • Structured working style and ability to take ownership of technical tasks

What awaits you:

As the developer responsible for our next-generation race car electric motor, you will play a key role in selecting and configuring the optimal stator and rotor setup provided by the motor manufacturer. In addition, you will design and develop custom components such as the motor housing and shaft that allow the motor to be integrated into our race car.This role offers the unique opportunity to own a complete development project, from early design concepts through manufacturing and testing all the way to integration in the 2026/2027 season vehicle. Since this is a pioneering project within the team, we are looking for someone who enjoys technical challenges and is motivated to ensure the new motors deliver both reliability and competitive performance on track. Throughout the development process you will work closely with the motor manufacturer, receiving guidance on key design parameters and best practices. Proper documentation of this knowledge will be essential to support future team development.

Time expenditure: At least 10 hours per Week
